How Will They Do It?

So, I havent heard much about plot line for the upcoming Big Dirty, but on the Internet Movie Database the summary is now saying (vague, but Ill cut it just in case):


"Set in a separate storyline not related to the "Trailer Park Boys" Television show, but with the same lovable characters. The pot smoking, rum drinking Ricky and Julian are released from prison where they meet Bubbles for the first time and eventually come to live in the Sunnyvale Trailer Park."

The Christmas special has alot of continuality flaws, but Im not one to be picky because it was just too damn awesome. But in that episode Bubbles got the letter from his mom that mentioned he knew Ricky and Julian when he was younger (he helped Ricky with his school work! lol) so to "meet Bubbles for the first time" will be interesting to say the least in this new approach to their stories.

Either way I have high expectations for the movie.

Maybe there are "flash backs" of sorts to build up to the present? I have no idea. What are your thoughts and opinions. Lets get this community alive again!

I think it was the rumour going around when they started filming, but now I have no idea! XD
But daym would it ever be kick arse to see them on the big screen....

well from what I gather, I believe that it will get a theatrical release since Ivan Reitman is producing the movie. That might be why they're doing a origins type film, so that even people who don't know the show could enjoy it, instead of jumping the band wagon midseason. Just guessing here, but I mean Reitman is a pretty big name so I can see this going to the theaters. I mean, if the Aqua Teen Hunger force can have a theatrical release (comming soon) then so can the Trailer park boys.

You're not serious!? My wittle loveable Meatwad is gonna be on the big screen? No fucking way!!! That would be too cool. Are you sure? I have to check this out now. I love that show. It's just the funniest cartoon in ages.

well they've been talking about it for the last little while, a lot of people say its bullshit, that the ATHF guys are just fucking with their public but MC Chris (who does the voice of MC Pee Pants) always mentions the movie in interviews and what not and how his part is recorded. He also said it was comming out in March or around then. So fingers crossed.

Maybe we'll just consider the universe of the film to be in a different dimension seperate from the tv show or something. I'm not to hung about it though, they are obviously making an attempt to reach a larger audience, which i'm happy for them. So if thats what they got to do, fine with me. :)

I thought they had always lived in Sunnyvale; especially Julian, whose grandmother left him her trailer. Ricky's father lives there; and, you are right, there has always been every indication that the boys have known each other since they were small chidren.
On that note, I am dying to see the movie. From what I have heard, it will be in theaters.
